Desert heat, wind, road access and local controls can affect the daily route. Off-road sections must be matched to current conditions, the confirmed vehicle and the experience of the operating team. Alternative locations may be used when a planned area is unavailable.

Summer temperatures around Turpan and Hami can be very high. We consider travel month, hydration stops, walking time and suitable departure times when preparing the final itinerary.

Day 1 | Arrival in Urumqi

Arrive in Urumqi and enjoy airport pickup service before transferring to your hotel.

The rest of the day is free for rest and adjustment. Urumqi is the capital of Xinjiang and the starting point of this desert off-road journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy free time in the city before the adventure begins.

Day 2 | Urumqi → Flaming Mountain → Tuyugou Mazar Village → Shanshan

After breakfast, depart from Urumqi and travel toward Turpan, one of the most iconic desert regions along the ancient Silk Road.

Visit the famous Flaming Mountain, known for its striking red hills, dry desert climate, and legendary connection with Chinese classical stories.

Continue to Tuyugou Mazar Village, an ancient village hidden in a dramatic canyon landscape. With traditional homes, historic atmosphere, and Silk Road cultural traces, it is one of the most photogenic villages in the Turpan region.

After the visit, continue to Shanshan and check in to your hotel.

Day 3 | Shanshan → Red Willow Beach Canyon → Mars Base → Water Source Area → Shenxian Cave → Alien Willow Spring / Hami

Travel through Red Willow Beach Canyon, where rugged desert colors and canyon textures create an otherworldly atmosphere. Continue to Mars Base, a landscape known for its Mars-like scenery and powerful visual impact.

Visit the Water Source Area and Shenxian Cave, then continue toward the Alien Willow Spring area near Hami. The scenery along this route feels remote, surreal, and highly suitable for drone footage, off-road photography, and short-video content.

Continue to Lapuqiake Ancient City, an important historical site connected with Silk Road routes and desert civilization.

After the visit, continue back to Shanshan.

1. 2 to 6 pax in a group (2 pax min, 6 pax max)

2. Typically we will take 100 USD per person as deposit when you book the trip (You can pay the deposit through WeChat/Alipay/bank transfer.)

3. Then the balance will be paid when you arrive. (Note: The balance needs to be paid 7 days before departure if your trip is just in the official Chinese holiday. E.g. Chinese New Year, Labor's Day, National Day)

Our cancellation policies are very friendly.
If you have to cancel your trip for some unexpected reasons, we have the following policies:
1. FULL REFUND at least 15 days before departure date. (Note: except the cost of service fees paid for the third party, such as trains, hotels,transportation etc)2. FULL REFUND if there is no flight and train to arrive resulted from extreme weather or government restrictions.
If the trip is cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any government restriction, full refund will be offered.
